Hey! I’m Emma, and this is my blog for book, TV and movie reviews, reading-based tags and random literary discussions.
I spend a lot of my free time reading a plethora of books of all genres and writing (both reviews and fiction). Away from the literary world, I watch a lot of sports (mainly formula 1, football and tennis), draw and paint, play the piano and guitar, sing, and study various fields of science. I have qualifications in German and Spanish, but am by no means fluent, however I would like to continue learning these languages to a higher level when I get the chance (if anyone has any pointers then it’d be greatly appreciated). It is my ultimate dream to be an author, but in the meantime, I intend to study English literature and venture into journalism or publishing.
I read a wide variety of genres. From adult fantasy to autobiographies, from young adult contemporary to historical fiction, I read all of them. You may find that I have phases where I review a lot of popular young adult or a lot of adult contemporaries. This is as I can sometimes stick to within a certain genre for a while. However, I would always be able to drop that genre and move to another one, so if anyone wants to request that I review a particular kind of book, then I’d be up for it. I have to say that I am more of a fantasy and supernatural fan than I am a historical or contemporary fan, and I usually cannot stand books that are solely about romance, but I will read and review all!
I try to post book reviews for as many books as I possibly can. In theory, I would like to review nearly every book I read, but I am a very fast reader, and have been known to read multiple books in a week, or even in a day. Due to a busy schedule, reading, and in turn reviewing, is not always possible. However, I would like to get multiple posts up a week, with at least one review. I will always try to participate in Top 5 Wednesdays (idea by GingerReadsLainey), and on Saturday/Sunday will summarise my week in a brief post. Additionally, if I watch a film adaptation of a book, I will try to post a film review, or even a book-to-movie comparison. I am also a fan of tag videos on YouTube, so if I see any tags that I would particularly like to try, then I may use tag posts as a fun filler for my page. Basically, any kind of book-related post will be found on this page!
Thanks for taking the time to read this. It would mean the world to me if you took your time to browse my blog, or even give me a follow on here or social media. If you ever have any book recommendations, feedback (keep the criticism constructive, people!) or ideas for me, feel free to drop me a message, and I will always try to make time to give you a message back. I would love to know what people think, and always appreciate advice and positive comments from others.
