‘Turn to page three hundred and ninety-four.’

~Severus Snape, ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban’

Good evening! It is the 14th of the month, which means it is time for the Page 394 meme. Created by Novelcraftings, this meme is in honour of the fantastic Alan Rickman, and requires you to turn to page 394 of your current read or a favourite book on the 14th of every month, and post a quote you like. Last month I went with ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ to truly honour Professor Snape, as I was not on page 394 of my current read and did not want to risk spoiling the end for myself. This month, I cannot turn to page 394 of my current read – ‘Tuesdays with Morrie’ by Mitch Albom – as it has less than 200 pages, so I am once again choosing a favourite read. With today’s news that the Shadowhunters TV show has been renewed for a second season (yay!) I have reverted to Cassandra Clare’s ‘Mortal Instruments’ series. I went through all the books to try and find a good quote from page 394, and I settled for a rather comical section from ‘City of Lost Souls’. Also, a shout out to my best friend Good Books and Cups of Tea, who has just started her blog, and who posted her own Page 394 meme today.

‘Magnus had been alive for ages. Surely he had found time to squeeze in a few weeks of driver’s ed. Although Simon couldn’t help wondering what birth date was on his license.’
